What the Jack is Jackfruit?

It is the largest tree-borne fruit in the world. It maybe from 8inch to 3 feet long & can weigh upto 100lbs.

YOUNG JACKFRUIT

Jackfruit in its early stages is called Young Jackfruit. It gained huge popularity due to its stringy meat like texture and the amazing capability to take on any flavour. It goes well in sandwiches, wraps, burritos, curries, stir fry, curries, pizzas etc after adding your own flavours, condiments, sauces.

RAW JACKFRUIT

Before it gets ripe, its called Raw Jackfruit. In southern India, unripe jackfruit slices are deep-fried to make chips. Its also used to make a variety of Indian dishes.

RIPE JACKFRUIT

Ripe jackfruit is naturally sweet, with subtle flavouring. It can be used to make a variety of dishes, including  custards, cakes, smoothies & desserts.

JACKFRUIT SEEDS

The seeds from ripe fruits have a milky, sweet taste often compared to Brazil nuts. Seeds are used as snacks (either by boiling or fire-roasting), powdered to add along with wheat flour to be used in baking or in curries.

Why is Jackfruit known as a Miracle crop?
